When should I start Prenatal Yoga?
Women who practiced Yoga regularly prior to becoming pregnant usually start right when they find out they are pregnant, however most women choose to start after they enter their second trimester when they start to feel more energetic. Talk with your doctor or midwife to help you decide when the best time is for you to start.
How long can I practice?
As long as there are no complications with your pregnancy or specific restrictions set by your doctor or midwife, then you can practice until baby comes. Certain modifications can be made to the poses as you get closer to your due date.
What if my pregnancy is considered "High-Risk"?
Always check with your healthcare provider prior to starting any exercise routine.
Will I be able to participate even if I've never done yoga before?
Of course! There is no prior experience needed and all of the poses can be modified to accommodate all levels.
Can I benefit from Prenatal Yoga even if I'm not planning a natural childbirth?
Definitely!! Practicing Prenatal Yoga regularly will help ease the discomforts associated with pregnancy as well as prepare your mind and body for Motherhood.
What should I bring to class?
A water bottle. The space has mats, blankets, etc. (Of course, you can always bring your own mat if you'd like.)
What are the payment options?
Your first class is FREE! After that, you can pay a drop-in fee of $14 per class or purchase a 6-class punch card for $60, which has a 3-month expiration. Cash, Check or Credit Cards accepted.
Do I need to pre-register or can I just show up?
You can just show up:)
